Account Assistant

Description:

J & IImran is seeking a detail-oriented Account Assistant with at least two years of experience, preferably within the retail trade industry. The ideal candidate is skilled in bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, and data entry, and familiar with expense management processes. This role requires proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to manage financial data accurately and support the accounting team effectively. The Account Assistant will work independently without managing a team, focusing on assisting with daily financial operations and ensuring accuracy in invoice verification and overall data management.

Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate bank reconciliations to verify transactions and ensure account accuracy.
• Maintain thorough bookkeeping records, ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
• Enter and update financial data promptly and accurately into accounting software and spreadsheets.
• Manage expense reports by verifying receipts and preparing reports for approval.
• Utilize QuickBooks to process invoices, track expenses, and maintain updated financial records.
• Prepare and verify invoices, ensuring all billings are accurate and supported by documentation.
• Support the finance team by organizing and maintaining financial data for easy retrieval and analysis.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports as needed for management review.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations related to financial documentation.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments regarding payment status and discrepancies.
• Contribute to improving accounting processes by identifying errors and recommending practical solutions.
• Manage data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy to reduce errors and maintain data integrity.
• Work within the retail trade context, understanding the specific financial challenges and requirements of the industry.
• Manage multiple financial tasks efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
